How to choose a marketing agency in Wrocław

Choosing a marketing agency is a decision for months, and a badly signed contract can cost more than a failed campaign. There are several hundred offers in Wrocław and at first glance they all sound alike. Below are the criteria worth checking before you sign anything, whether you are talking to a large advertising agency, a freelancer or to us. We are writing this as an agency, so judge it with that in mind; the criteria themselves, however, are universal.

Check who will really work on your brand

The person sitting in the sales meeting is usually the best talker in the company. After the contract is signed, the account often goes to someone else entirely. Ask outright: who will run my campaigns and my profiles, what experience do they have, and can I speak to that person before we start. High staff turnover on the agency’s side means that every few months someone learns your company from scratch, on your budget.

The scope in black and white

A retainer with no written scope is asking for a dispute. The contract should specify: how many posts and short videos a month, whether comment moderation is included, how many articles or pages the SEO work covers, how many rounds of revisions a design includes. The agency fee separately, the ad budget separately. It is also good practice to write down the response time for requests and how revisions are handled. If the offer rolls everything into one figure, you do not know how much of your money is working in the ads and how much covers the margin.

Access and ownership of accounts

The Facebook page, the ad account, the Google Business Profile, the domain, the analytics: all of it should belong to your company. A marketing agency gets access as a partner or a user, never ownership. It sounds obvious, and yet companies from Wrocław regularly come to us having ended work with a previous supplier and been left without access to their own Facebook page, or without their campaign history. Rebuilding those assets costs real money.

Reporting you can actually understand

A report should answer the question of what the money produced. Reach and likes are supporting data, not the goal. Ask for a sample report from another engagement: if it consists of screenshots with no commentary, you know what to expect. A good report shows the number of enquiries, the cost per result, keyword rankings and conclusions for the following month.

A local agency or a remote one

Both options make sense, depending on the scope. For campaigns and SEO alone, location matters little: craft and reporting are what count. For social media and video the advantage of an agency from Wrocław is practical: regular filming at the company, product sessions, knowledge of the local market and the option of sitting down at one table when something needs deciding. If the brand’s communication is to be built on showing people and a place, choose a supplier who will actually visit you, not one who asks for photos from your phone.

Warning signs

  • a guarantee of first place in Google: nobody honest promises that,
  • an annual contract with no notice period, or with a high penalty for termination,
  • no examples of profiles and campaigns you can look at,
  • accounts set up in the agency’s name instead of your company’s,
  • a quote with no audit, given before anyone has looked at your website,
  • reports sent with no discussion and no recommendations for the next period.

Questions for the first meeting

Who exactly will run my account? What precisely is included in the retainer, and what is charged separately? Who owns the accounts and what happens to them when the engagement ends? What does a sample report look like? How will we know after three months that this is working? The answers to those five questions say more about an agency than its whole portfolio. Comparing two or three offers against this list takes one evening and saves you a quarter of disappointment.

You can ask us the same questions. infoBrand is a marketing agency from Wrocław: we work to a written scope, the accounts and the data stay with the client, and you get a report every month. Write to hello@infobrand.eu or call 730 964 114.
